In 2001 I started working for, what was at that time, Strategic
LLC as a technical support specialist.
I had come from an internet services background and soon
found that several of the recurring issues could be resolved
if we could make changes to clients email servers. I began
testing an In-house
mail server.
Ship Brokers require a number of irregular server settings
that appear 'spam like' to regular mail server providers.
For example, Ship
brokers need to know ASAP if an email is not being
delivered; finding out 2 hours after hitting 'send' that the
email is having problems, and then 2 days later, that it was
not delivered, is not an option.
My work at Responsive Technology had me supporting several messaging platforms,
including Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Danaos Infogate, NordicIT MCSWin,
Strategic (now SDSD) MRS/MessageStore and the older Winship systems.
